Second Sunday of Easter. Jesus Has Left the Building!

By on April 19, 2020 in News & Musings

Hello Zion,

Following Gov. Waltz’s shelter in place order, we will not be having in person worship until after May 4th. For the season of Easter we will be using the same bulletin each week so hold on to this one http://zionchurchmpls.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Stay-Home-Season-of-Easter-2020.pdf.
Each week for worship you will need a small bowl of water, a candle, a Bible and the elements for communion. Don’t get stressed if you don’t have crackers and wine- whatever ordinary sustenance you have in your kitchen will do.
We are continuing with the platform zoom for worship. From now until May 31st, you can use this link ( https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84586176800 ) this phone number (1 301 715 8592) and meeting ID (845 8617 6800) .  If you miss one of our live worship services, all are being archived on our youtube channel. You can find it by searching for Zionchurchmpls. Please subscribe! If we get 100 followers we get a custom url which makes it easier for others to find us.

Hopefully soon, you will be getting a phone call from a Zion member. This is a part of our new phone tree. We hope to use this to share important information and keep everyone connected. While we cannot be together physically, we are thinking about creative ways we can still fellowship together. Let us know if you think of a way that sounds like fun to you. We are open to new ideas and want to hear from you.

One last bit of fun,  in Pr CJ’s Easter sermon, she said Jesus has left the building and is now with you- hence ‘flat Jesus’ (flat Jesus). Print and cut him out, add some color if you would like and put him some where you can be reminded that Christ is with you today and always. If you are the social media type, post a picture with the #zionchurchmpls!

The Peace of Christ be with you! Stay safe and stay home!
